Welcome to my personal website! I’m Qingshan Hou, a Computer Science and Technology undergraduate at Tongji University and exchanger at National University Of Singapore. I have a solid foundation in computer science basics and strong expertise in artificial intelligence, data analysis, and software engineering, supported by hands-on experience and award-winning projects. As a passionate leader, I’ve led diverse teams to success. Outside of academics, I’m the President of the Campus Basketball Association, a certified National Level-3 basketball referee, and a music enthusiast who leads a band and sings a cappella.     Hundsun Technologies Inc.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Led a team of 6 members as product manager to design and develop a conceptual fund trading system
    • Gained hands-on experience in financial technology, including subscription, redemption, and clearing processes
    • Contributed to full-stack development using Vue.js for the front-end, Spring Boot for the back-end, and MySQL for database management
  2. Full-Stack WeChat Mini Program Developer

    Tongji University

    Responsibilities include:

    • Designed and developed a WeChat Mini Program to facilitate court exchange and team formation for badminton players
    • Implemented key features such as team formation requests, court exchanging, and a chat module for user interaction
    • Improved convenience for school badminton players and enhanced their overall experience

    At Shanghai Yan’an High School, I excelled academically while actively participating in extracurricular activities. I was a member of the school basketball team and served as the president of the Environmental Club, leading a project on water quality that won first prize in the Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition. Additionally, I was the class monitor, where I honed my leadership and organizational skills. These experiences allowed me to achieve a well-rounded development in academics, sports, and community engagement, laying a solid foundation for my future endeavors.

Cross-View Visual Place Recognition with AlphaEarth

National University of Singapore, Tongji University
Oct 2025 – Present

  • Developing a cross-view visual place recognition framework that leverages DeepMind’s AlphaEarth, a global 10m-resolution multimodal satellite embedding model.
  • Designing a decoder network to perform place recognition directly in the AlphaEarth feature space, enabling robust location retrieval under large viewpoint and appearance changes.
  • Building an alignment encoder that maps ground-level optical images into the AlphaEarth latent space, supporting cross-view matching between ground imagery and satellite representations.
  • Investigating the spatial consistency and discriminability of AlphaEarth embeddings, and exploring whether geographic coordinates can be regressed from satellite feature vectors.
  • Evaluating model robustness across diverse regions and viewpoints, providing insights for global-scale geo-localization and multi-view mapping applications.

Multi-Objective Optimization of GFlowNet

  • Extended the original GFlowNet framework from single-objective to multi-objective optimization, integrating reward, cost, and diversity objectives
  • Designed a new objective formulation with additional evaluation metrics, applying concepts from evolutionary game theory to model trade-offs and dynamic policy updates
  • Implemented and validated the extended model on molecular datasets, demonstrating improved sample cost and reward performance over the baseline

Multi-Agent Spatio-temporal Coordination (Research Assistant)

  • Conducted research on multi-agent spatiotemporal coordination in embodied intelligence, with focus on collaborative perception, task planning, and motion synchronization
